The Venue

The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) was developed to provide a world-class conference venue in the heart of Ireland’s capital city. Located just 15 minutes from the airport in Dublin’s Docklands, the finance and technology hub of the city, The CCD is ideally positioned to entice the international business tourism market.
Since opening in 2010, The Convention Centre Dublin has hosted over 1580 events and established an international reputation for hosting and delivering world-class events. So far, we have received 40 industry awards, including 'World’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre 2017’ and 'Europe's Leading Meetings & Conference Centre 2018' at the annual World Travel Awards.

Our clients include a prestigious range of international associations and corporations, as well as Ireland's best brands and organisations.  We can facilitate a variety of events, from intimate meetings to large conferences, banquets and entertainment events. International events attract international delegates alongside and these business tourists spend money on hotels, taxis, dining out, entertainment, shopping, cultural experiences and tourist attractions which help to generate significant revenue for the Irish economy.

The CCD is an iconic building on the Dublin skyline, designed by Pritzker award-winning Irish architect Kevin Roche. The entire venue is finished to the highest specifications and incorporates spectacular technology throughout. Its stunning glass-fronted atrium gives visitors panoramic views of the River Liffey, Dublin city centre and the Wicklow mountains.

The CCD is establishing new standards of catering and service in the hospitality industry in Ireland. Using the finest equipment, our chefs create innovative dishes full of flavour and nutrition at a consistently high standard. You can customise our menus to your needs and dietary requirements - from breakfast meetings to banquets, wine receptions to buffets, finger food to themed-events - your event, your way! Our Hospitality team is also trained to deliver five-star service, ensuring your guests receive a complete fine-dining experience at Ireland’s most iconic banqueting venue.

Delivering World-Class Events

Our inclusive conference packages are one of the highest specifications in the conference and events industry. They include an extensive range of technical services such as AV, staging, sound, lighting, digital signage, PCs, presentation equipment, and technical expertise. Wi-fi for up to 22,000 devices is also freely available throughout the venue.

The CCD is one of the most technically sophisticated convention centres in the world. Our highly trained Technical Production Managers will advise you and plan your technical requirements, using their unique venue knowledge and technical expertise. We offer a broad range of services, which can be tailored to suit your needs, including lighting, sound, rigging and vision mixing. We also offer the opportunity for you to enhance your conference package with our premium service options.

The CCD is recognised as the first carbon neutral constructed convention centre in the world. The contemporary design meets the highest standards of environmental sustainability through unique energy systems and recycling practices. The CCD achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation just one year after opening.
