NAMA statement on Poolbeg West SDZ scheme

NAMA welcomes the announcement by An Bord Pleanála (ABP) of its adoption of the Poolbeg West SDZ scheme

NAMA has been working intensively on the preparation of a commercially driven delivery strategy for the site.

NAMA will review the detailed terms of ABP’s decision and will examine, with various stakeholders, how best to implement the delivery strategy with a view to ensuring housing delivery as soon as practicable.

The Poolbeg West SDZ has the potential to deliver up to 3,500 residential units (10% of which will be Part V social housing units and 15% of which will be social and affordable housing units). It will also deliver some 860,000 sq. ft. of commercial development as well as school sites and community space.

The development of Poolbeg West will make a strong contribution to the residential needs of Dublin as it is one of the one of the last remaining large-scale residential development opportunities still available near Dublin city centre.”
