More Information

It is expected that The Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 will be fully commenced within the year. When commenced, the Act will bring in a range of new measures that are important in the context of advising clients. It will result in significant obligations to fully respect a person’s individual rights and autonomy. A person's ability to make decisions for themselves will be enshrined in law.

This half day conference will assess the Practical Implementation of the Act to include Codes of Practice. It is intended to give attendees an insight into How Capacity is Defined and Assessed .

There will be opportunity to discuss recent and future developments and exchange ideas and experiences with other attendees. There will also be an opportunity to put your own queries/concerns to our panel of experts.

Who should attend?
Financial services professionals, solicitors, barristers and those who interact with adults whose decision-making capacity is in question or who lack the capacity to make a decision.
